New Sponsor Me Feature

Yesterday at IZEAFest I announced a new feature within Sponsored Tweets designed to help Tweeters generate more twitter advertising opportunities. Tweeters can now grab a special badge on their referral page that leads people to a customize profile page. Here is how it works:

1. Grab the badge

Go to the referral section of Sponsored Tweets. Scroll down to the “your public profile” section and grab the badge (or use the link) provided. Put it on your blog, use the link in your twitter stream, etc.

2. Drive traffic to your landing page

When people click on the link they will land on a custom page featuring your information. They can create an opportunity just for you from these pages without having to be a current customer or get into a more complicated transaction.

3. Reap the rewards

When an advertiser hires you through your profile page they are also included in the referral program under your account. If they are a new advertiser you will earn 5% of Sponsored Tweets cut on every transaction that advertiser completes for a period of two years.

Super Cool Trickiness

Everybody in SponsoredTweets has a public facing profile and you can use your referral code to point to any of them. Think you have a better chance of landing someone like John Chow or Zac Johnson a gig than you do of getting one yourself? You can do that by simply changing the link code.

If I wanted to create a link to sponsor Chris Pirillo I would just change the /tedmurphy?… to /chrispirillo?… You can use this method to point to anyones profile page and get referral credit for the transaction.
