About Kirk

A few years ago when I was working in the retail business I was thinking about a way to get out of the working world and how I could become my own boss.

I quit my job, gave them 3 days notice, and here I am now. Working from home.

I can get up in the morning and work in my pajamas (I never do though), and I can work where I want and when I want. If I want to take a working vacation to Hawaii, I can up and leave without worrying about my vacation time at work. Why? Because I’m my own boss.

What do I do for a living? I make my living online. I hate the ‘make money online’ niche, I prefer to use the ‘earn an income online’ niche instead of the crazy over saturated niche of ‘make money online’.

I make my living online through multiple websites and blogs. My favorite blog of mine is ExtremeWealthGuide.com. It’s my personal favorite because I can help the online community succeed with the monetization of their websites and blogs.

Not only do I teach people how to earn an income from there websites and blogs, I always give my readers tips about other ways to make money online, promotion tips, marketing tips, social network tips, blogging tips, and website tips.

You could say that ExtremeWealthGuide.com is the one-stop-shop for everything to do with the ‘make money online’ niche.

I pride myself on being the only blog online that does not push banner ads in your face, I prefer to tell you the true facts instead of displaying 18 banner ads and 13 pop ups. So, I encourage you to visit my site, and learn how to make money from your website or blog.

How did you first find out about Twitter?

As I was searching the web for different social media sites, I came across Twitter. When I first discovered Twitter, I thought to myself ‘man, this looks lame’. But I thought I’d sign up and give it a try.

What you need to understand is that I was not a social network person. I had never signed up for Facebook, MySpace, and I never even wanted to. So signing up for Twitter was a BIG deal. And a year later, the rest is history. I am truly addicted!

What do you tweet about?

I tweet about everything that I think will help my followers. I don’t just tweet random useless information like when I need to go to the restroom. I tweet useful information that I think will benefit my followers.

I like helping people, so I always try to lend a helping hand. I tweet motivational and inspirational quotes to help in everyone’s day. And I also tweet links to different websites and blogs that I think my followers will like.

If you visit my Twitter profile page you would probably find many recent tweets that are just social mentions to one another. I love socializing with people online, and Twitter is a great place to do that.

How has Twitter changed your life?

I get asked often why I love Twitter so much. And the reason why Twitter is so important in my life is because of all the relationships I have built up using Twitter.

Think about it, I have met people in different cities, different states, different country’s, and different continents. And I can meet people everyday with a click of my mouse.

And all of my friends on Twitter are truly special to me. Each and every one of them are my true friends. Not many Tweeters can say that, but I can honestly say that I care for each and every single one of them. And that is how Twitter has changes my life.

Why did you sign up for Sponsored Tweets?

Like many other people on Twitter, I was skeptical when I first heard the possibility of a paid tweeting program. I was not looking forward to it because I thought it would spam Twitter even more.

But as I learned more about Sponsored Tweets, I realized that this program is something special. Not only can I see who I’m tweeting for, I can also see what I will be promotion, see where the link goes, and actually get the choice writing it myself or getting the advertiser to write it.

And the really special aspect of Sponsored Tweets has to be the ethics, this is not a spam advertising company, this is a great tool to help out me and my Twitter followers. I only tweet a sponsored tweet if it will actually help out my followers, and that is why I like sptwt’s so much.

What is one piece of advice you would give to our advertisers?

I would love to sit down and chat with some of the advertisers and give them my advice, but seeing as that probably isn’t possible, I’ll give my opinion here!

Contact tweeters that are in your advertising niche. Don’t contact me about a weight loss product. That is not my niche, and that is not why people follow me. My 19000 followers don’t want to lose weight, they are following me for different reasons. So, send tweeters a Sponsored Tweet withing their niche.

Also, if you are adding a link to your sponsored tweet, make sure it is a reputable site, make sure it is not infected, and make sure it is a useful site. Because if I get an opportunity with a website that is useless, I throw it out the window, and I won’t even feel bad about it.

That is my opinion to all advertisers.
