It’s the same time as mobile Apps started taking over our lives just as well, with an astonishing Million of Apps in the different App stores, used by billions of people.

Tens of thousands of developers, probably some of which are reading these lines right now, are fighting for Apple’s top lists rankings.

So imagine being able to use Twitter to harness the power of Twitter to make your app go viral; the possibilities are almost frightening.

It’s Who You Know

Possibly the quickest way to get your app noticed and maximize your chances of it going viral is getting your App Twitter profile noticed by the right people and piggybacking on their social network.

For example, a recommendation from a heavily followed blogger, journalist, or even better, celeb could leave you busier than a one-legged man in a butt kicking competition but it will also save you the effort of putting in the hard yards to attract your own Twitter community of followers.

This begs the question though, how amongst a community of 500 million do you get yourself noticed, especially by someone of influence?

This will require you to spend a nice amount of time on researching, re-tweeting the right figures and following the top tweeters of your App’s niche.

A little tip – a lot of persistence, a quirky sense of humor, and a lot of luck can go a long way.

Use proper Hashtags (#) within tweets about your App to get it more noticeable within Twitter’s search engine.

Persistence

Possibly the greatest factor in going viral is getting a break and that always involves a touch of luck.

In the words of someone who knew all about going viral before the term was even coined, Samuel Goldwyn, “The harder I work, the luckier I get.” So work hard, keep at it, and your big break will inevitably come.

That only leaves one question: Assuming your Twitter efforts pay off and your app goes viral, do you have the wherewithal to handle it?
