Ineligible Referrer

SponsoredTweets has a referral program that allows Tweeters and Advertisers to referrer new users and get a cut based on how much that user ends up making on SponsoredTweets. You can see a list of people you’ve referred in the referral program page after logging in. You’ll see a status next to each referral you’ve made indicating if they are eligible or ineligible, but what exactly does that mean?

Eligible vs Ineligible Referrers

The idea is that eligible referrers are people who are able to actively use the system. very advertiser is an eligible referrer. For Tweeters though, a Tweeter is only marked as eligible if they have at least 100 tweets, 50 followers and have had a Twitter account for 60 days. When advertisers are picking out Tweeters to make offers to, only Tweeters meeting these conditions will be marked as eligible.

Commission from Referrals

Just because someone is marked as ineligible doesn’t mean you won’t make any commission from these Tweeters though! You’ll get the same cut whether someone is eligible or not, but don’t expect to make big bucks from theses referrals. Ineligible referrals can still take CPC Offers, and you’ll get a cut of each of their clicks as well.
