Tonight we purged about 12k Twitter accounts from our system that did not meet our standards for quality or activity. These Tweeters will no longer be listed in the marketplace. This should allow our advertisers to more effectively make offers to quality Tweeters and allow more legitimate Tweeters to receive offers.
In addition to the Tweeter purge we are also making some adjustments to create higher quality offers for the remaining Tweeters. We will soon be increasing the minimum cost per click for advertisers. Advertisers with existing offers at a lower price will be grandfathered in.

I'm glad to hear that, because now it seems all the advertisers have jumped on the .02 cpc bandwagon. I guess they figure if we will still do it for that price, why offer more? They get multiple tweets for .02!!! Maybe the rule of hand should be that you have to be able to buy something with the amount of money they offer per click! I mean really, what can u buy for 2 cents??? Nothin'! I think the prices should start at .05 at least, even tho there is very little you can buy, there is something, somewhere for that amount! Lol! Good luck, and I look forward to the change.

Ted, great move! I've got a new opportunity already. Great work you and the IZEA team are doing. Great interface, customer service and product. You all keep up the good work and thanks for continually adding value to the Twitter/Sponsored Tweets experience!

Wonderful news! I really look forward to seeing these changes put into action, and the end of the sea of two cent cost per click offers.

Happy to read this. I had issues with tweeterers not responding to offers...they could have at least say no :O(
Guess it won't happen anymore.

Will we be notified if we've been removed? I haven't seen many offers come my way so I'm curious if I'd be amongst the purging :)

ive only received an offer once. Don't know if they had already removed me or maybe it's just im not doing the job well. Too shameful for my part if ever. Lol! ;)

If you can log in to your account, your account is still active.

I have to admit, I have received more offers since this purge, so I guess it worked. I just hope those that were booted from the system had their outstanding balances paid. I'd like to assume that they did. Izea seems to be a good company.

I haven't gotten an offer in over 2 months! I used to be listed in the Featured Tweets list and now I get no offers. My account is still active but I'm really disappointed that all that is available are cheapo CPCs.

I was wondering if I was alone in thinking that those 2 cent offers were kind of small. It just seems to be a lot of work tweeting 3 times for an offer that only is going to pay 2 cents per click.
I would also like to know the criteria for those tweeters that have been purged - was it because they were only posting links or spam of some sort?
